BPW Laghubitta Issuing IPO to General Public and Nepalese Employed Abroad

A public offering (IPO) is being conducted by BPW Laghubitta Issuing IPO Bittiya Sanstha Limited for Nepalese citizens abroad and the general public. There will be 80,950 unit shares available to the general public at a face value of Rs 100. The issue will open on 18th Falgun and close on 23rd Falgun, 2079. IPO shares have been allocated to Nepalese citizens working abroad, with the issue opening on 22nd Magh and closing on 8th Falgun, 2079. The issue may be extended to the 2nd Chaitra if it is not fully subscribed by the early closing date. Nepalese citizens who work abroad, however, will not be covered.

A total of 32.33% of BPW Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited’s issued capital, or 97,000 unit shares worth Rs. 97 lakh, has been made available as part of its Initial Public Offering (IPO). Ten percent of these 97,000 units are designated for Nepalese citizens who work abroad, 1.5% are reserved for company employees, and 5% are reserved for mutual funds. Public purchase is available for the remaining 80,950 units.

Mega Capital Markets Limited will manage the IPO for BPW Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited. There is a minimum requirement of 10 units for the general public, and a maximum of 1,000 units for Nepalese citizens working abroad. Shares held by the company’s promoters and those held by the public will be 67.67:32.33 following the IPO.

About Company

The BPW Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha was established in September 2018 and started operating in April 2019 as an MFI licensed to operate in Bagmati Province. As a financial intermediary since 2002, BPW acquired the microfinance business of Business and Professional Women Patan (BPW Patan), an NGO founded in March 1995. A total of 72 promoters are involved (71 individual promoters and one non-profit BPW Patan with a 1% stake). The company’s Acting Chief Executive Officer is Pradeep Koirala. Banepa -8 Kavre, Nepal is where BPW’s registered office and corporate headquarters are located.
